A dash cam app (DVR) for your car that records videos while driving.
Proto DVR is a free car video recorder application for your phone that has all of the features of a standalone car camera device. There is no need to buy a separate device for this purpose - with ProtoDVR, your smartphone functions as a car DVR. Feel safe on the road by recording evidence in case of traffic accidents or use ProtoDVR to record precious and memorable moments of your trips.
With ProtoDVR, you can record videos in the background. After enabling the background recording option, you can continue using your phone as usual or simply lock the screen while still recording videos. This way, you do not need to give up the functionality of your phone while still being able to use it as a dash cam.
The app records all your journey, but it will not overload your memory: you can choose the amount of space that will be used for storing videos. And once this space runs out, the app will automatically rewrite over the older recordings. But do not worry, the videos that you want to save will not disappear: you can mark the most important videos as Favorites, and the app will store them for as long as you need.
