Circles provides true end-to-end security for your Privacy. Claiming compliance with NIST SP800-56 rev3 C(1e,2s) and HKDF (RFC5869) standards and using AES128, HMAC256, ECDH128, ECDSA256.
This app allows you to create Circles, where members are added through the sharing of a so called 'public key' over the internet
All the Messages, images, classifieds and GPS points are shared within a Circle using end-to-end security through internet.
Circles allows you to cryptographically verify (out of band) that members are granted access to the same Circles then you (Badging).
In addition, each Circle owner can distribute cryptographic Vouchers to their Members.
End-to-End Security:
Circles is NIST 128bits cryptography compliant (ECIES128, AES128, SHA256, ECDH128, ECDSA256).
Circles use efficiently apple SoC hardware security architecture (secure enclave, icloud keychain and hardware crypto-acceleration).
The messages, images, classifieds and GPS point are time-stamped, signed and encrypted prior to be sent outside of the device.
Circles properties:
When creating a Circle, you can select whether you are the only one allowed to add members to this Circle or if any other Circle member can add members to this Circle.
In addition, you can select whether you are the only one allowed to send message, image and classifieds to the Circles, or if every member of the Circle is allowed to do so.
Badging functionality:
Each Circle can be used to allow people entering events, accessing services with voucher, attest of privileges of being in a Circle
Voucher functionality:
Circles owners can distribute cryptographic vouchers.
icloud:
Circles is automatically synchronised on all your devices running under the same icloud account using iCloud keychain and iCloud drive.
You can start a discussion on your iPhone, then continue it on your iPad, seamlessly.
Big-data:
Thanks to End-to-End security, all messages, images, classifieds and GPS points can be securely stored outside of your devices, in Servers.
This greatly minimise the storage consumption on your device while providing easy access to any of your device.
Expected Security robustness:
Circles is expected to be as secure as your icloud account, keychain and IOS ‘kernel and Apps’ hardware sandboxing mechanisms.
All users assets (keys, messages, images, classifieds, GPS point) are encrypted using user’s random and unique cryptographic keys.
These cryptographic keys are of course not inaccessible in anyway to Circles application owner.
Privacy statement :
Circles user's information are not accessible by Circles application developers in any manner.
Circles doesn't record any user information on its servers in a cleartext manner.
Google Admob use your Device Identifier and this Application Identifier to provide targeted advertising.
The messages, images, classifieds and GPS points of Circles that are not used for more than 3 weeks are automatically deleted.
