If you care for pregnant women, you can use this app to show each woman what’s going on with her baby in seconds. If you are expecting, you can use it on your own!
The Little One™ Pregnancy Guide makes it easier to care for each pregnant woman by helping her understand what her baby looks like and what her baby can do throughout pregnancy. The “Guide” also makes it easy to educate your community about pregnancy and early human development.
This free app features rare footage of the living human embryo and early fetus, week-by-week summaries of development milestones throughout pregnancy, audio recordings of the prenatal heartbeat, and more. The memorable insights you provide to each pregnant woman in your care may well motivate healthy behaviors and promote maternal-fetal bonding.
Watch her marvel as you show her the beating heart in slow motion just 6½ weeks after LMP! You can also show her movement of the head, jaw, tongue, hands, and feet; as well as the growing brain and liver, the emerging fingers and toes, and the placenta and umbilical cord all functioning beautifully inside the uterus!
The Little One™ Pregnancy Guide is well suited for institutional use and is licensed for use in educational settings, medical settings, public places in general, and at home. You can teach students at all levels, inform your patients, train your staff, and present at professional conferences. You can present to youth groups, community groups, and home school groups. You can also recommend the Little One™ Pregnancy Guide to your family and friends. The Guide is ad free and is available at no charge.
The Little One™ Pregnancy Guide was developed by The Endowment for Human Development (EHD), a nonprofit organization specializing in prenatal development education.
The video clips featured in this free app are from EHD’s award-winning science documentary, The Biology of Prenatal Development, which presents normal human prenatal development from fertilization to birth. It is distributed by National Geographic and has been endorsed by medical researchers, embryology and obstetrics experts, and high school teachers. The video excerpts have been renarrated and modified for use on mobile platforms.
