We believe this will contribute to community developpement by increasing the artisans income especially in rural areas and developping sustainable business linkages between handicraft producers and tourism markets.

Our platform is named in tribute to Ibn Battuta (ابن بطوطة), who was a Moroccan explorer that travelled over a period of thirty years. His journeys included trips to North Africa, the Horn of Africa, West Africa and Eastern Europe, and to the Middle East, South Asia, Central Asia, Southeast Asia and China. Ibn Battuta is generally considered one of the greatest travellers of all time.
