We can find numerous narratives on the unique history of Thiroor church. It was in 1878, the church was built in a thatched temporary shed, at Thiroor, which was then the foothill zone of kundukad-poomala forest belt. Before a parish was formed here, the believers were going to Kottekad for their religious rites and rituals, walking a distance of 6 km. The farsighted and hardworking forefathers of the village made Thiroor a fertile soil for the growth and development of the religious, educational, and cultural life of the locality by its various forms of apostolate.
