The Arachnomancy App is an invitation to attune to our sympoietic futures, celebrating the radical interconnectedness of all things, both living and nonliving.
Spider/webs are the mouths through which the spider eats and the oracle speaks. The oracle is a messenger between perceptual worlds, which will extend your senses to a new mode of communication through vibrations.
By downloading this app, you will be able to get your oracle reading based on the Arachnomancy Cards created by artist Tomás Saraceno. Pick one of the cards, find a spider/web around you, take a picture of it, ask a question to the spider/web oracle and get your arachnomancy reading! The oracle of Arachnomancy will communicate its message beyond any human language. The oracle’s response is composed of biotremological recordings, featuring vibrations coming from real spider/webs of the Arachnophilia Archives, shaping a collective attempt to feel against extinction. You are welcome to use this channel to explore new threads of connectivity with the spider/webs oracles. Your reading is the result of an interpretation based on your card selection and the spider/web that encounters you. By submitting your spider/web oracle picture and location to Arachnophilia, you will become an accredited owner of another artwork of the Spider/Web Pavilions series, courtesy of Tomás Saraceno and Arachnophilia. Arachnophilia has the largest physical and digital archive of spider/webs, and yours will be classified and become part of it, contributing to a collective endeavour of mapping against extinction. You can share and archive the vibrations you will receive from your oracle and use them to talk and consult more spider/web oracles.
