Welcome to Deva World™, a scientifically-developed program that has been co-designed with persons with cognitive challenges. Our dementia-friendly 3D-world platform delivers multiple engagement touchpoints for more productive visits, better care, and happier families.
Download Deva World (tablet only) to enjoy interactive, playful and engaging experiences of daily life, thus helping to reduce agitation and build connections.
A player (the participant) and a caregiver sit together and work their way around Deva World’s calming and gentle scenes.
Prepare:
First, download Deva World (free). Then join, and set up your player’s profile (you will receive a link, via email, to the Deva dashboard. You can then add favorite photos and images to personalize your player’s world.
Play:
You are now ready to start sessions with your player. As a caregiver, your role is to encourage your player to use the pad of their finger to tap on the objects they see. They’ll find music, animals, yummy things like chocolates and crunchy apples, and they will meet Julie (Elena in the Greek version), Deva’s virtual companion. Julie loves to help, but sometimes she’ll need your player’s help, too. Be attuned to your player’s responses and build on them by adding your own comments and observations on life inside Deva World.
When and where:
Deva World is helpful in any care setting and is recommended for care professionals, family members, home helpers, friends, and volunteers. Just make sure you are in a quiet place. A Deva World session is quality one-to-one time together.
To end a session: double-tap the ‘end session’ button. Now you can add comments which are sent to the Deva dashboard in the cloud. This feature is great for care teams; session feedback is shared, helping the care circle to better support their players.
