Poppy the Parrot and his girlfriend, Penny, are really in a jam. Penny has been kidnapped! Can you help?
Poppy needs to use English to talk with witnesses and piece together clues about Penny’s whereabouts. However, Poppy’s English isn’t very good, and he is often embarrassed to speak (after all, he’s a bird!). Help him overcome his bashfulness by reading some silly sentences. The more you read, the more confidence Poppy has speaking English.
Like Poppy, many people learning English as a second or third language often have difficulty interacting with English native speakers because of their frustration or embarrassment at their budding English abilities. Learning shouldn’t be frustrating or embarrassing. It should be fun!
