Share one set of lists with your family, another set with co-workers - as many lists and groups as you want. Changes made by one list user will immediately be reflected to all the other users of that list.
Your wife sends you to the supermarket, but realizes she forgot to put milk on the list. Instead of sending you a text (which she knows you will ignore), she pushes "Add Item" on the dedicated Mister Lister tablet hanging from the refrigerator and says: "milk".
Not only is "milk" added to the refrigerator list, but also to the list in your pocket, even as you drive to the store.
Meanwhile, Junior is hanging out with his loser buddies in front of the 7-11. He sees a 50% off sale on enormous 5 gallon bags of potato chips. He buys a bag and checks "potato chips" off the grocery list.
You put the two gallons of non-fat milk in your cart, check "milk" off the list and turn toward chips aisle. You glance at Mister Lister just in time to see that potato chips is already "Done"! Someone (probably Junior) already got them. What a great kid! You no longer have to make that long, tedious trip down the crowded "Chips and Snacks" aisle and save 5 minutes in the store.
On his way home, Junior eats half the bag of chips and leaves the other half in crumbles all over the front seat of his car. He pulls safely to the side of the road, takes out his phone and un-checks "potato chips", putting them back on the grocery list, just as you're popping the trunk to unload your environmentally friendly bags from the car.
Oh well, at least he pulled over to use his phone.
Mister Lister adheres to a minimalist and intuitive design philosophy. He doesn't cram in a bunch of obscure, buggy and hard to use features that are more trouble than they are worth. Mister Lister will not try to have your Grocery List cook your dinner. He will not try have your Hardware Store List draw blueprints for your next house.
What he will do is give you the features you expect in a shared list app. Those features will work right and be easy to use:
* Define your own lists - as many as you want.
* Navigate easily between lists. Mister Lister provides a way to jump directly to another list or to quickly scan through lists in sequence.
* Collaborate on lists with other Mister Lister users.
-- Invite multiple users to share a list, share different lists with different users, or keep a list private.
-- Changes made by one list user will immediately appear to all the other users, so the lists are kept in perfect sync, no matter who changed it.
-- The owner and users of list can be easily viewed at any time.
-- Users can be removed from a list only by the list owner or by the user himself.
* Add items to lists by voice or keyboard.
* Clean, simple display:
-- Only a minimal number of functional icons to keep the screen uncluttered.
-- Finished items are grouped together at the bottom of the screen in the "Done" section.
-- The "Done" section can be dynamically resized, or hidden all together.
-- Sort lists alphabetically.
-- Add detailed notes to any item on a list. The notes can be displayed with the press of a button.
* Send lists to the other people via email or text conveniently using your contact list.
* Other basic functionality - delete, rename or clear list, edit or delete list items.
* Help (even though you'll probably never need it.)
-- Full help document built into the app.
-- Context sensitive help for some of the more robust dialogs.
-- Context sensitive hints to get you started.
-- Built in messaging to Mister Lister himself. You can ask for help or make suggestions and he will answer you immediately or at least as soon as he gets around to it
