What is BEATBoXX?
BEATBoXX is a workout system designed for kickboxing, MMA and boxing (the BoXX part) performed to beats (the BEAT part). It’s simple – just follow the instructions and match the beat to get the best workout of your life.
How Does BEATBoXX Work?
Each track has a 2minute round; a series of beats with verbal instructions followed by a 60 second Recovery Round for rest or to add in other exercises to complement your skill tracks. Body weight, resistance, steady state or HIIT sessions, BEATBoXX works fantastically with all types of exercise.
With 3 levels of intensity: REGULATOR – same beat throughout. MODULATOR - beat increases and decreases (and increases again!) and ACCELERATORS which get faster and faster (and faster!).
Tracks include Boxing and Kickboxing in attack only and combined with defence combining a range of techniques that is achievable and challenging. The workout track beats start at 160bpm and stay there (REGULATOR) or rise up to 260bpm! (the MODULATOR and ACCELERATOR) Which will challenge any fitness level!
BEATBoXX is designed for students of the martial arts, instructors and competitors but it also works just as well for fitness enthusiasts looking for an effective, interesting & challenging way to stay fit for life!
Is It Hard to Use BEATBoXX?
No. The BEATBoXX App comes with comprehensive tutorial videos to get you used to the technical terms we use to describe techniques so even if you’re a complete beginner, you can be training within minutes.
BEATBoXX Keeps You Motivated
BEATBoXX gives you rewards for regular training called BEATBoXX Belts which are awarded once you complete the required number of workouts. Each belt has a colour and earns you a fun BEATBoXX rank and are great to keep you motivated.
BEATBoXX is effective in getting you very fit, but it’s challenging & interesting too. If you seek perfection in technique, then BEATBoXX is for you. If you’re a beginner or just training for fun, you’ll still have the challenge of sticking to the beat & still following the instructions when your muscles tire and your heart is fit to burst! Either way BEATBoXX demands high focus and concentration to the extent where practitioners have reported entering a zen-like meditative state as they train.
Do I Need Special Equipment or Lots of Space?
No. BEATBoXX is ideal if you have limited space or equipment. For instance, if you travel a lot and spend time away from home, you can workout in your hotel or motel room. Or, put the earphones in and BEATBoXX in the hotel gym. You can BEATBoXX at work during your breaks or those times when you need some creative inspiration or thinking time.
If you have access to equipment you can use BEATBoXX on the heavy bag, light bags, speedballs, in the mirror, with a partner on the focus mits or even in defence and attack drills. There is no limit to the number of ways you can use BEATBoXX to get fit and build incredible skill.
Is BEATBoXX Good for Building Skill?
Skill comes through repetition. Think of it. What’s the difference between a master & a beginner? It’s not time, it’s repetitions. Masters’ have completed more reps of the techniques and in practicing BEATBoXX you’ll complete thousands of reps every session! Even in the lowest intensity technique rounds (the Regulators), you’ll complete over 300 reps per track. In a 12 round workout you’ll complete over 3,600 techniques! That’s almost 10 times the rate that most fighters work at in their workouts. Imagine how quickly you’ll build your martial arts skill with that intensity!
For those seeking high levels of skill, BEATBoXX will set you built in challenges which will test your balance, weight distribution, distance, technique and of course Timing! You’ll see which techniques blend and flow well and which don’t. Your mission is to make both work at the highest intensities of beat.
