Ribity is a fun and engaging way for users to show support for others and to get involved with local and national charities and events. Users are encouraged to list their family lemonade stand, their high school car wash or any non-profit event. Events will be announced to users as they drive nearby. The app also encourages and seeks pledges in support of a cause or event. Ribity users subsequently fulfill those pledges by creating ribbons on a digital map in support of the event. As Ribity users create ribbons for an event, the user's pledge comes to fruition and the user that made the pledge is expected to follow thru with the pledge.
To increase user engagement and fun, as users drive around performing normal day-to-day tasks the application automatically claims and advances ribbons on the digital map. Users may add their own personal message to any ribbon they advance or any ribbon they see on the map.
