Nepal Police is the sole organization to cope with crime-control and its prevention. We have always remain in close contact with public through different media. We believe, Information Technology is the best tool for communication and disseminating information among the public. Moreover, with rapid use of mobile phones in day to day life and development of different mobile apps has given us another platform to connect with general public.
At current phase, the app is only available to Nepal Police Personnel for internal provision and will soon integrate features for public use. It contains two major features on the basis of user perspective, the first one is the provision to view Police circulars and the next one is Geo-enabled digital attendance . The Geo-enabled digital attendance allows Police personnel to register their attendance in different programs and functions, for instance, Police Personnel have to show their presence in different places for different occasions which may be festival days, Republic day etc. For this, the app uses Geo-fencing technology such that a personnel can register his/her attendance only if he/she is within the specified range of the program venue.
