In recent years we have witnessed a tremendous growth in automotive industry. It has been followed by a large increase of the number of different car brands, models and variants produced worldwide.
Car users tend to spend a lot of time on searching the Internet for information about cars and related services. This process can be tedious, as it requires from a user already quite good knowledge of car brands and models, which most of the users don’t have. Our solution helps car users easily and quickly find valuable information about cars and related services.
The approach is very flexible and easy to use, as it only assumes that the car is positioned in the center of image and has sufficient size. The goal of our project is to develop mobile and web application that uses our AI technology for car brand and model recognition to provide users with helpful information about the car. By taking only a single picture of a car, users would be able to easily get information about car technical specification, find nearest dealers or get the best buy options for the specific brand and model. Besides, they would obtain information about estimate market value of the car.
