Eat It Or Not is designed to assist individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities to identify the nutritional content of various food items and the extent to which they reflect the recommendations of the 2015 - 2020 Dietary Guidelines for Americans issued by the United States Department of Health and Human Services and the United Sates Department of Agriculture.
Access is provided to web sites of nutritional information available for many popular restaurant chains as well as tables of nutritional values for common foods. once values for salt, saturated fat, added sugar and calories are entered, the user can see a visual representation of the results, color coded for easy interpretation.
