Kaptai Lake is one of the most important freshwater body which are considered as the largest
man-made freshwater resource in the South-East Asia. From then considerable amount of fish
are producing every year from this Lake which is an important part of total inland water catch.
Over fifteen years, fish capture from this Lake has been increasing steadily. But the people of
Rangamati hilly district did not know the fisheries resources information as well as of getting
fisheries related service relating to fish culture, fish disease and other problems. As a result, they
were in problem getting advisory services. A mobile apps has been developed to address all sorts
of fisheries related information, problems and sustainable management of Kaptai Lake. A fish
farmer/ fishermen can easily find the solution by using the mobile apps.
