Grow your voCabulary: GrowCab helps you learn the words you find most difficult!
Aimed towards intermediate to advanced students, GrowCab allows you to train your vocabulary by entering words acquired through your studies to create your own flash cards. This allows you to train your vocabulary in categories that are more relevant to your life.
Growcab makes training vocabulary in a foreign language easy. Because it's more efficient than traditional training methods due to using a Spaced Repetition System (SRS) you can either reduce your study time or increase the amount of material you learn.
Add foreign words with their translations to your vocabulary, just as you would in any language class. GrowCab allows for automatic translations of words using Yandex Translate, making finding new words quick and simple. Once added, revision of these words is easy! When you test your vocabulary, correct answers will increase the time between testing for that word, while incorrect answers will decrease the time. This way you're tested more often on the words that need the attention, while the words you know well will be tested less often (leaving more time to learn new words).
Many language experts estimate that the brain needs exposure to foreign vocabulary up to 10 times over a period of weeks or months before it becomes truly cemented in a student's brain. Ordinarily that would take a great deal of dedication and organisation, but GrowCab removes the overhead and allows you to focus on the learning. Additionally, notes taken with pen and paper in language classes over months and tears will easily become disorganised or lost, whereas GrowCab will keep your words in one place, ready for you to train them at a moment’s notice.
Please note that GrowCab is intended to be used in conjunction with a foreign language class or self-study and does not come pre-loaded with word pairs. This allows you to decide which words are the most valuable for to add to your vocabulary. GrowCab can be used to learn almost any foreign language no matter what your mother tongue is.
