ReportCutter does one thing really well- generate clear and accurate field reports, punch lists, snag lists, and work orders for the construction and property management industry. So, if you are the poor sap charged with one of these tasks, this app is for you.
Sorry, it doesn't do much else, it won't run payroll, estimate jobs, manage submittals, iron your pants, or remind you of Mom's birthday. It writes reports really well and really fast.
It is not a document management platform like Procore, e-builder, or BIM 360. Although, the PDF reports ReportCutter generates upload easily to those platforms. Did I mention, it makes easy to edit, easy to read, reports.
Here's what you do: Download the app to your iPhone or iPad. Upload your floor plans to the app. On your construction site, take photos and dictate notes in the app. If your notes are location specific you can point them to exact locations on your plan set. When you are done, select the notes you want to export to a report. Then, email your report or save it to your favorite cloud service for final editing on your laptop. The PDF report will have your notes, pictures, and locations all cued up on a concise 8.5 by 11 report. That's what it is good at, field reports.
Designed by a guy that has written far too many field reports. It was built to make life his easier and release tension in the shoulders and neck. It may not do that for you but it will write a a report faster than a GC can say "change order".
With all your newfound spare time, you can tweet or Instant gram or whatnot. ReportCutter can't help with that but it will do a nice report though.
