gluten Free Recipes” is a valuable tool for everyone who is affected by Celiac Disease or Gluten Intolerance. Being recently diagnosed with Celiac, I was frustrated having to look up every single ingredient before I could start making dinner. And trips to the grocery store were taking two hours in order to scour every label and check for anything questionable. Being a busy, working mom with three children, time is of the essence, and I was desperate for a better way. That’s why I came up with Gluten Free Recipes

The recipes are broken down into categories: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Snacks, and Dessert. Each category is then broken down into sub-categories. For example, when you click on “Breakfast” you will be given the choices of Bars, Cereals: Hot or Cold, Eggs, Pancakes and Waffles, Smoothies, or Yogurt. When you click on the sub-category, you will be given the recipes for that heading. If you love the recipe, you can always add it to your “Favorites” so that you can easily find it again. Want to share it with a friend? You can do that too by e-mailing it. You can also add ingredients to a grocery list that you can then e-mail to yourself and print before you go shopping.

Gluten Free Recipes has all you need for a gluten free diet that excludes foods containing gluten. Gluten is a protein composite found in wheat (including kamut and spelt), barley, rye and triticale. A gluten-free diet is the only medically accepted treatment for celiac disease. Celiac disease is an autoimmune disease attacking the small intestine due to the presence of gluten. Dermatitis herpetiformis (DH) is a form of celiac disease in which gluten causes the immune system to attack the skin; therefore a gluten-free diet is essential. People with these diseases are considered gluten intolerant. There is a minority of people who suffer from wheat intolerance alone and are tolerant to gluten. Gluten sensitivity is another reason people will choose to go gluten-free.
