The Department of Information and Public Relations acts as a bridge between the people and the Government. The prime task of the Department is to disseminate information about different schemes, programmers, achievements of the Government to the people, using a plethora of mass media and non conventional media. The Department’s Head office is located at Bangalore. Its jurisdiction covers the entire State and it functions through district level offices in all the 30 districts across the State. It has an office at New Delhi which is called Karnataka Information center.
