Encounters can be as varied as those who experience them. Some encounters are pleasant while others are unpleasant. There are the unforgettable and the easily forgotten encounters. Some encounters are scary while others are heart-warming. Encounters happen regularly both in the physical and spiritual realms. They are part of everyday life. As we pray, read the Bible and fellowship with fellow Christians, there are bound to be encounters. Daily Encounter with God is a daily devotional guide which targets families with the purpose to positively guide the encounter as families read God's Word, sing and pray together. Daily Encounter with God is produced annually by the Nigerian Baptist Convention through the joint efforts of the Christian Education and Publications Departments to achieve this purpose: to make the daily encounters of families with God pleasant, unique, lasting and unforgettable with each passing day. In each edition, there are Bible passages for family reading and 'Read the Bible Through' passages for further reading for both individuals and groups and this one is no exception.
