SmartAgro is a multifaceted platform for farmers.

The application has the following functionalities:

-It helps the farmers to get the best price for their agricultural produce like wheat, rice by providing an integrated broker-free eCommerce platform ('Market') to sell or to buy agricultural entities.It allows citizens to buy agricultural entities needed on a day-to-day basis directly from farmers.

-It provides season based recommendations regarding the most profitable crops in the current weather and soil conditions for a given location. Thus providing a farmer with variety of options for crops that can be cultivated in a particular season.

-It provides cross selling recommendations to the farmers on the basis of customer buying pattern of the crops on the eCommerce website to further increase profitability.

-It provides farmers with the links to various central and state government schemes along with the links to various agriculture related central government websites and state agricultural department’s websites.

-It provides a complete guide containing different varieties of crops, suitable weather and soil conditions, production methods, fertilisers, possible diseases along with treatment and yield information available for farmers,thereby meeting most of the farmer’s requirements.

-It also provides information about various government waivers, motivational videos and ideas used by peer farmers to increase profitability.
