Jeepney is one of the most popular means of public transportation here in the Philippines. “TODA Away: A Ride Hailing Application for Jeepneys” is a research project that aims to create a mobile application that will help passengers who are having difficulty in riding a jeepney, which serves as their means of transportation reserve a seat inside a jeepney. This also aims to target the drivers to help them have guaranteed passengers by knowing the volume of passengers waiting alongside the road based from the reservation requests aside from the passengers they can get in the jeepney terminal. The other features include tracking of the current location and the arrival of the jeepney; to let the driver know the location and the number of the passengers; compute the estimated fare from the picked up and drop off location; and rate or report a jeepney driver or passengers. Unlike existing transport network vehicles that is a point to point basis, this application follows a specific route.
