The MapCo Guide to the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil is a location based event guide to the games.

The summer games (not including soccer, which starts on Aug 3) start on August 5 and run through August 21.
There are events all over the city, and the schedule is very complicated. This app can help. The games will feature 28 Olympic sports at 33 venues. This app will tell you exactly how far you are from all of them and give you directions to your chosen location. We give dates, times, location and the overview all in one place.
It provides the user with the events that are nearest to them, sorted from nearest to farthest, and then each event has a detailed schedule of daily events for all the sports that take place there. The event has a live Google map that will take you directly to the event location.
It will be a big help for trip planning but it will be the most help when you get there, as you'll know exactly how far you are from all of the different events in Rio de Janeiro.
10,000 athletes from 206 countries will be participating.
NOTE: Soccer takes place all over the country, and this app is Rio de Janeiro specific. So the only events we have in this app are the ones that take place in Maracana (1 Men's Semi-Final, 1 Women's Semi-Final and the Finals). Additional football games will take place on 5 venues in the cities of São Paulo, Belo Horizonte, Salvador, Brasília and Manaus.
