LocAbroad connects international and out of state college students with local college students.
LocAbroad aims to help international and out of state college students feel more comfortable in a foreign place, make friendships, exchange cultures and languages, and develop relationships.
If you have ever been an international student, you will agree how hard it is to leave your family and home and go to a foreign culture. Difficulties with integrating in the new culture, making new friends, renting an apartment, transportation, language etc. etc. LocAbroad allows international and out of state students to connect and make friends before arriving, to have someone to hang out with. It also allows local students to make friends, learn foreign cultures, languages.
Who should use the app? LocAbroad is mainly intended to be used by college students, who are currently at a university. But its use is not limited to that. If you are an alumnus of a university and want to help others with your experience, this is the right app for you.
Simply create an account, fill out your profile with information about yourself, your current and/or future universities, provide some social media links, if you want to, and start searching and connecting with other students.
