BAM is an intuitive and user friendly mobile application for logging and storing biological samples, both liquid and tissue. It is available as a web-based program as well as a mobile application, compatible with all devices. We refer to it as a ”LIMS in pocket”. With BAM we have created a powerful tool compatible with all mobile platforms.
A summary of the main features is hereby presented :
· BAM enables biobanks and research groups to log and store information about biological samples, projects, freezer positions, storage structures etc. Auditing included.
· BAM uses the mobile camera to read barcodes (1D and 2D)
· BAM is available as a desktop program and mobile application compatible with all platforms (Android, iOS, Windows)
· BAM includes flexible and scalable data storage, secure login with one or two factor authentication as well as encryption of all data traffic
· BAM can be integrated with other solutions for data collection, storing and analysis (including VizzDAT’s self-developed visualization tool VIZ for superior overview)
· BAM can be 100% customized for each biobank/research group
· BAM can be developed in multiple languages (English, Swedish, German, Spanish, Russian, Ukrainian).
