The Concept: A marketplace & community of Event and Entertainment professionals from across the globe
The Goal: To open up new possibilities for events / entertainment professionals and providers via online collaboration and creating a new income stream for industry professionals. And why do we think it's possible? "Virtual" collaboration and online marketing is already happening all over the world, and Gigland is just a central platform where people can post gigs for their skills, talents and services.
The Process: On Gigland, sellers post gigs for services and products that they can deliver. They set the terms, provide representative content and specify what if anything they may require from buyers. All communication and file exchange happens through the Gigland system. Buyers can leave reviews of gigs they have purchased.
The Finances: When a buyer purchases a gig, payment is made through Stripe. Gigland holds payment until the gig has been completed and then takes a 5% commission from the seller.
The Benefits: For sellers the benefit is obvious - we handle all the marketing and you make money doing what you're best at. Buyer's have the opportunity to browse offerings from amazingly talented people all over the world.
