Orbit Bearings was established in 1990 in Rajkot, Gujarat, India as a family owned business. Orbit is a manufacturer of Taper and Cylindrical Roller Bearings for Automotive & Industrial Applications for our OEM Customers manufacturing Trucks, Truck Trailers, Agriculture Tractors, Transmissions, Engines, Compressors, and Industrial Gearboxes etc. Our customers are based in USA, Europe, Australia and Asia.
Over the years, Orbit has evolved from being a manufacturing oriented company to a knowledge based engineering entity that helps our customers to design, test and customize bearing solutions as per their requirements. Orbit's success is due to our commitment to consistent quality from design to distribution.
In 2000, Orbit invested in modernization of manufacturing processes, which includes installation of automatic manufacturing lines with the latest technology at the plant located at GIDC Metoda.
Orbit initiated manufacturing of advanced HUB bearings to help achieve greater life cycle cost savings for our customers in 2007. Orbit was the 1st Indian Company to supply HUB bearings to various European truck trailer manufacturers.
During 2011, Orbit started construction of a new manufacturing plant along with Orbit Technology Centre to provide advanced engineering solutions to our customers. Orbit has also been investing in a R&D facility which can conduct virtual simulation testing for our automotive customers and friction management processes to improve fuel efficiency. Optimizing manufacturing processes and resources is one of the core strengths of the company. The company has successfully implemented automatic grinding and assembly lines at new unit to single piece flow of parts.
With a vision to provide integrated solutions at all levels in motion technology, Orbit has been successful in creating a niche market for itself in global axle markets.

Orbit has been constantly striving to expand their presence in India and penetrate the market and with this objective Orbit has been trying to increase the presence in aftermarket segment. This application will help to build bigger and better distribution network thereby creating value of the company. This application will also improve coordination between Orbit and associated dealers.
