DONATOR ACCOUNT: Find and filter requests based on name or categories such as Math, English, Sciences, Kannada, etc. Click on a request to connect and open up a conversation with the school you wish to donate to on your default texting app with a standardized message which can be edited to your convenience.
SCHOOL ACCOUNT: Sign up with your location and phone number to make and edit requests for any books or stationary, categorize them and add an optional short description along with the desired quantity. Donations can also be made from school to school.
Requests can be partially fulfilled and then further edited by discretion of the school to accommodate this fulfillment.

The idea for this app sprung up when we (Nishant and Trishul) were volunteering at a school where half the kids did not have the required books or stationary. We are frequent
donators to charities and schools but when making these donations, we realized that we did not know exactly which schools needed what resources. Thus, BookConnect was born.
An enthusiastic programmer and musician with a flare for mathematics, Nishant Govind has devoted most of his high school life to teaching and providing services to children who cannot afford quality education. He seeks to create a blend between creativity and logic in his teaching.
An avid reader and cinephile, Trishul Raja is dedicated to social service and teaching. As a voluntary teacher for 4 years at an underprivileged orphanage, he knows the value of passing on knowledge and the importance of education.
