The purpose of Cara is to reconnect the disenfranchised with society. Ethical people and businesses that wish to bring about change in social care can provide opportunities to users of Cara.
Cara enables rough sleepers, homeless people and others in need to receive notifications of items being given away (food, clothing, household items etc), work opportunities, housing, workplace training, and apprenticeships and training courses in life skills.
The SOS feature gives homeless people a chance to call out for help if they become desperate or find themselves in a life-threatening situation.
Cara is for homeless people, rough sleepers and people in care. It brings together the functionality of many of our other apps: Needa, Grafta, Dwella, Learna, Skilla and Activ8ta, giving those in greatest need access to:

• Housing,
• Learning,
• Training,
• Social activities
Cara shows the locations of all the care organisations registered with Kanndoo that are within 5 miles of the user’s current location anywhere in the world. Newly homeless people can use the app to find care and assistance.
Users of the CARA app will be able to rate the organisations that offer them support. We believe nobody is better suited to deciding which charities deserve backing than the users of the services themselves, so we use this rating information to decide which organisations should benefit from the money we raise.
