Drag & Drop Calendar is a calendar app that has Week Agenda, Week, Day, and Month modes.
1. The Week Agenda mode allows dragging an event between days of the week, using the following steps:
a. Press your finger on the event that you want to move. A colored border will appear around the event when drag mode is activated.
b. Start by dragging your finger up or down, rather than left or right, in order to avoid activating the "sliding" action, which slides to the previous or next week.
c. Continue dragging your finger to the day block where you want to move the event (e.g. the "24 Sunday" block). An image of the event being dragged will follow your finger as you move it on the screen.
d. Lift your finger from your screen.
The event will then disappear from the original day and appear on the new day.
2. The Week and Day modes allow dragging an event from one day and hour block to another day and hour block, using the following steps:
a. Press your finger on the event that you want to move. A colored border will appear around the event when drag mode is activated.
b. Start by dragging your finger up or down, rather than left or right, in order to avoid activating the "sliding" action, which slides to the previous or next week.
c. Continue dragging your finger to the day and hour block where you want to move the event (e.g. the block at the intersection of the "Sun 24" day column, and the "10 AM" hour row). An image of the event being dragged will follow your finger as you move it on the screen.
d. Lift your finger from your screen.
The event will then disappear from the original day and hour and appear on the new day and hour.
3. The Month mode allows dragging an event between days of the month, using the following steps:
a. Press your finger on the event that you want to move. A colored border will appear around the event when drag mode is activated.
b. Start by dragging your finger up or down, rather than left or right, in order to avoid activating the "sliding" action, which slides to the previous or next month.
c. Continue dragging your finger to the day of the month block where you want to move the event (e.g. the "24" block). An image of the event being dragged will follow your finger as you move it on the screen.
d. Lift your finger from your screen.
The event will then disappear from the events list for the currently selected day of the month. If you click on the day of the month where the event was moved, it will appear in the events list for that day of the month.
4. You can click on any event to edit the event details.
5. You can swipe left or right to switch to the previous or next week, month, or day.
6. In Month mode, you can click on any day to see a list of events on that day below the monthly calendar.
Other details about the app:
1. The app currently only works with Google Calendar.
2. Only one Gmail account can be selected at a time, but you can show multiple calendars from that Gmail account at the same time.
3. The app only allows you to add, edit, or delete your calendar events when you have network connectivity, but it will still display your events if your device is offline.
Features coming in future releases of the app:
1. The app will work with your device calendar.
2. Multiple Gmail accounts will be able to be shown at the same time.
3. You will be able to add, edit, and delete your calendar events while offline, and then any changes you make while offline will be sync'd to your Google Calendar when you are back online.
4. App-level settings will allow you to choose the default calendar mode (e.g. Week), default calendar (if you have multiple calendars), timezone, time format, first day of the week, and visibility of declined events.
5. Calendar-level settings will allow you to choose a custom calendar color.
