This application lets students play with moving the operands and operators around in a linear equation. It does NOT solve an equation for a student. It lets students observe the results of their moves and thereby understand the implications of positioning of operators and operands in an equation.
Any complex linear equation can be simplified to multiple simpler building blocks of operands and operators. This applications lets students experience the logic behind this simplification and better understand the concept.
