A mansion of incomparable beauty, the Rodin Museum was both the home and studio of the artist between 1911 and 1917. Today, it holds all the major works of artist that are available both in plaster and cast form. All of these, he generously donated to the nation at the end of his tenure, in the sole condition that it would be preserved by the state as a museum which future generations could visit from all over the world.

The Rodin Museum is a special place that not only holds some of the most famous works of the artist but also of his lover and sculptress Camille Claudel. Rodin and Claudel inspired each other's works and the drama of their life, adds a theatrical feel to the sculptures. The lovely sculptural garden is vast and breathtaking. It is refreshing to walk around this place if you want some quiet, far away from the hustle and bustle of the crowded Paris museums.
