What’s the difference between Medyear Plus and Medyear Basic?
Medyear Plus has all of the features of Basic. With Medyear Plus, users gain access to a large network of over 900K doctors allow you to communicate with them directly. Medyear Plus users can also request their medical records from those doctors with a digital HIPAA release.
Can I upgrade from Medyear Basic to Plus?
Yes. You can upgrade at any time.
How do I get my medical records?
For Medyear Basic users, simply provide your patient portal credentials for any of the hundreds of participating hospitals where you’ve received care, and your records will be imported automatically into your Medyear app. If you have Medyear Plus, you can also request medical records directly from any of the 900,000 doctors in our directory using the digital HIPAA release feature.
What is a Direct address?
Direct is a secure email protocol for medical communications. With a Medyear Plus account, you receive a custom Direct address: yourname@plus.medyear.com. Works like an email, but has enhanced security for medical communication.
How can I share my medical records?
Sharing medical information is a delicate act. Medyear allows you to share your medical records in a private message with the doctors you select, giving you full control over your health data portability. Medyear Basic users can share individual parts of a medical record in a chat. Medyear Plus users can also share an entire medical record file (CCD) in a secure email message to your doctor. This is beneficial for transferring medical information between old and new physicians.
Note:
Medyear Plus requires patients to verify their identity as part of account activation. Requirements include submitting government-issued Driver’s License or ID, a selfie of the patient himself or herself, and passing a series of challenge questions.
