Crossword Genie helps you to quickly solve crossword puzzles and find solutions in other word games such as hangman, Scrabble® and Words With Friends.
- Word Search: Enter the letters you already have for a word, using full stops as wildcards to represent the missing letters. Click search to see possible solutions. The search is very fast, pretty much instant in most cases.
- Anagram Solver: Enter the letters of the anagram, using full stops to represent wildcards. Click search on the keyboard to see the possible solutions. This can be used to solve partial anagrams, e.g. enter TEADP. to find all the 6-letter words that can be made from the letters TEADP plus one wildcard letter.
- Intersecting Word Search: Enter 2 separate letter patterns to create a vertical and a horizontal word. Use your finger to drag the words so that they overlap just as they do in the puzzle. Then click the Solve button and Crossword Genie will search for all valid combinations.
Crossword Genie's internal database contains over 160,000 English language words (including over 3000 proper nouns). The App is completely self-contained - no network or internet access required!
If you do happen to be connected to the Internet you can look up word definitions online - simply touch and hold a word in Anagram or Word Search to see a menu of options. This menu also allows you to copy the result to the pasteboard.
- To achieve high performance the results are limited to the first 400 entries found.
