This is essentially a chromatic tuner aimed for singers.
When you're reading music or trying to sing a pitch, seeing the note on the page translates much more quickly than seeing A4 on a tuner and seeing how close you are. The note name and frequency are given for reference, but using the note on the page is much more useful.
